I am a member of a health activist community called WEGO Health, which is doing a writing challenge this month. So naturally, I completely missed the first 1/3 of the challenge.

I’m going to TRY to keep up with this as much as I can. Day 10’s prompt is a letter to my 16-year-old self (Boy, this ought to be good…).
Also, please mind the self-sarcasm in the letter.
Dear 16-year-old me,
Boo! Ha, ha. Just kidding. It’s me, my 23-year-old self. NO, I will NOT answer any questions about what happens next in Inuyasha!

Now that we got that out of the way, I have some important stuff to tell you.
1) This whole plan to be a game producer thing? Well, that’s going to fall by the wayside next year when I decide to become a Special Education teacher. That’s not gonna work out, either. Instead, I end up with a B.A. in Fine Arts (Film/Video). Save yourself the trouble, now, and just go straight into that field. Start taking Video Editing classes NOW. As in BEFORE college.
2) College. You actually make it through in one piece.

Not that I didn’t give myself (and a bunch of school officials) hell to deal with at first, but hey! Who has the college degree? I have the college degree.

I completely show everyone who made life difficult for me who’s boss. That would be me. Listen, I can totally achieve anything. I will prove that when I’m walking down the procession during college graduation while the guy who rose hell for me will be watching from the audience (College was the best… what’s he, up to 9 years, now? … the best 9 years of his life.) Point is, I make it through a TON of hard times, and in some cases even turn them into great times.
3) Those mysterious chest pains turn out to be a hiatal hernia. That’s totally treatable. In fact, between that discovery and that of the severe hypothyroidism, a lot of medical problems clear up for me. Next year will be the best year of my life!

4) Lastly, no matter what my instructional aide says, DO NOT QUOTE THE SOUTH PARK MOVIE. PERIOD. I can save everyone THAT headache, right now.

Well, that about wraps it up. And since I was so nice, I will save me the aneurysm of finding out that Dragon Ball GT is a very confusing anime.

Sincerely,
Me
Ironically, this was equally as stressful to read now as it was to live through at the time. Don’t sell yourself short good buddy, you have made great strides even if it seems like consistent trip and falls to you.
