The Aspie Dialogues CommUNITY Charter

  1. You have the right to individuality–to be your own unique person without unreasonable interference from external pressure.
  2. You have the right to dream and to achieve those dreams.
  3. You have the right to understand your treatment plans and the expectations authority figures in your life have of you.
    1. You have the right to question any part of your treatment plans and expectations you might not understand for clarity.
  4. You have the right to financial stability, self-sufficiency, and achievement of life goals, each of which as you define for yourself; regardless of age, race, creed, gender, culture, or income level.
    1. You have the right to affordable access to treatment plans which may be necessary to facilitate financial stability, self-sufficiency, and achievement of life goals, each of which as you define for yourself; regardless of age, race, creed, gender, culture, or income level.
  5. You have the right to advocate for your needs according to your best interest.
    1. You have the right to have others advocate for your needs according to your best interest on your behalf.
    2. You have the right to reject advocacy from external sources according to your best interest.
  6. You have the right to feel safe from harm in your surroundings.
  7. You have the right to your emotions and innermost thoughts.
    1. You have the right to safely express your emotions and innermost thoughts without fear of retaliation.
  8. You have the right to any education or treatment plan which adequately challenges you and prepares you for self-sufficiency afterward.
